A Look in the Classroom
- Language Arts/History: Our combined writing/history project is underway! Students have been working on their note-taking skills in gathering important information about Juan Ponce de Leon, and this week they will start organizing their information in defined paragraphs. By Friday, students will have written rough drafts of their first essays and started work on their illustrations. The next explorer to be studied will be Henry Hudson, best known for discovering New York's Hudson River. We will have a shortened Spalding list due to the short week and we continue our journey with The Little Prince. Madame Gebara is complimenting this unit by reading the French version in her class!
- Math: We are finishing up our time unit with a test on Thursday. On Friday we will dive into angles!
- Science: We will be discussing the electromagnetic spectrum, color, and doing a hand-on mirror activity.
